The following items are essential for physical education and should be kept at school during the week in a draw-string bag marked clearly with your child’s name: plimsolls, pale blue t-shirt or Maidstone printed log t shirt and blue shorts. Indoor physical education will be in bare feet.
Children are not allowed to wear jewellery at school because rings, bangles, necklaces and earrings are dangerous during play and physical education. For their own safety, children are not allowed to wear earrings during physical education. Please remove them before your child comes to school on P.E days or provide a container if your child is able to remove them themselves.
Children with recently pierced ears will not be able to take part in P.E until they are able to be removed; this is for their own safety. We advise all our parents if their child wishes to have their ears pierced they are done during the 6 week summer break. This will hopefully ensure your child will not miss out on any P.E lessons, after school activities or play during the school year.
Watches tend to get lost or damaged and it is your child’s responsibility to look after it. Any loss or damage will be your responsibility.
School sweatshirts, cardigans, bags and PE kits can be bought from the school office.
